Single-phase double conversion tower UPS
The AEC IST3 model is a UPS | Single-phase tower UPS with online double conversion technology.
IST3 is the right product for various uses: UPS for electrical substations (compliant with the UPS CEI016 standard) UPS for shops.
This type of UPS is ideal for the protection of payment systems in commercial activities, such as cash registers, ATMs and automatic payments in shops.
AEC suggests a 3kVA double conversion UPS for shops up to 500m2.
Tower UPS Benefits

The small size of the UPS tower and the dust-proof front design with HD display ensure easy installation. The convenient user-friendly graphical interface guarantees a simplified user experience.
The UPS guarantees a wide input tolerance, compatible with diesel generators.
IST3 UPS systems comply with the CEI016 UPS standard for MTBT electrical substations. The Power reserve function allows the batteries to maintain an energy reserve to always guarantee the reset of the coil and the restoration of full functionality of the car.
The UPS is equipped with a fault detection and warning system to ensure the safety of the device. The internal temperature of the UPS is also monitored.
The UPS also features intelligent fans with high-efficiency cooling, multiple modes to control its speed, extend its life and improve its efficiency.
Several settings of the IST3J UPS can be configured from the on-site display:
– Output voltage 208/220/230/240 Vac, 50/60Hz;
– ECO mode.
Tower single-phase UPS batteries
UPS 1000 watts
In the 1 kVA UPS (UPS 1000 watt) it is possible to alternatively configure the device with 2 or 3 internal AGM lead acid VRLA 9ah batteries.
UPS 2000 watts
In the 2 kVA UPS (UPS 2000 watt) it is possible to alternatively configure the device with 4 or 6 internal AGM lead acid VRLA 9ah batteries.
UPS 3000 watts
In the 3 kVA UPS (UPS 3000 watt) it is possible to alternatively configure the device with 6 or 9 internal AGM lead acid VRLA 9ah batteries.
UPS 6000-10000 watts
In the 6-10kVA UPS it is possible to configure the device with alternatively 1617181920 VRLA lead AGM batteries via the RS232 port. The tower UPSs of the indicated power include the bypass switch useful for putting the device into maintenance mode.
Single-phase Tower UPS accessories
By purchasing UPS IST3 (1-10 kVA), compliant with the UPS cei016 standard, the USB card is included in the price. It allows you to connect the UPS to all latest generation PCs via the appropriate port.
It is also possible to purchase several accessories for UPS separately in order to implement the functions of the UPS:
– External bypass = allows maintenance or repair/replacement of the UPS without interrupting the powered user.
– Dry Contact Board = provides a set of normally open or normally closed potential-free contacts to signal various UPS functions.
– SNMP Card = allows AEC UPSs to be remotely monitored, serviced, tested and operated anywhere in the world.
